Original ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Actress Kate Jackson Makes Rare Appearance

Kate Jack­son returned to the spot­light on June 7, 2025, for a rare pub­lic reunion that delight­ed long­time fans of Scare­crow and Mrs. King. The 75-year-old actress took the stage at The Hol­ly­wood Show in Los Ange­les, appear­ing along­side for­mer co-stars Bruce Boxleit­ner, Martha Smith, Paul Stout, and Greg Mor­ton, mark­ing the first time the whole cast had gath­ered togeth­er in 38 years.

The moment quick­ly became an emo­tion­al one, with fans cheer­ing and even tear­ing up dur­ing the pan­el ses­sion. The event was a heart­felt cel­e­bra­tion of the CBS dra­ma, which aired from 1983 to 1987. Kate Jackson’s recent appearance also teased a potential revival 

Before Scare­crow and Mrs. King, Jack­son had already made appear­ances in movies like Dark Shad­ows, The Rook­ies, and Charlie’s Angels. But Aman­da King’s imper­fect char­ac­ter grew with each episode and quick­ly became fans favorite. At the reunion, Jack­son recalled the chal­lenge of switch­ing from her Sab­ri­na Dun­can role in Angels to Amanda’s uncer­tain begin­nings.

Kate Jack­son remem­bered advo­cat­ing for Amanda’s devel­op­ment dur­ing the film­ing, from being res­cued each week to becom­ing a capa­ble part­ner in espi­onage. In a past inter­view, Boxleit­ner once not­ed how the chem­istry between Aman­da and Scare­crow worked best when it felt nat­ur­al. The couple’s romance even­tu­al­ly leads to a mar­riage onscreen, which was nev­er part of the orig­i­nal plan.

A reboot of ‘Scarecrow and Mrs. King’?
