These Early 1950s Photos Are a Window Into Another Era

The early ’50s were a time of transition in America, as folks reeling from World War II tried to navigate what a “new normal” looked like. From the rise of rock ’n’ roll and Marilyn Monroe to the start of the Cold War, these vintage photos from the early 1950s offer a nostalgic glimpse into the everyday moments — big and small — that defined the era.
