Trump Demands Ilhan Omar’s Removal From Congress Over Comments on Charlie Kirk’s Death
Ilhan Omar faced sharp backlash after dismissing tributes to the late Charlie Kirk as dishonest and calling him a ‘hateful man’

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trumpescalated attacks on Rep Ilhan Omar (D‑Minn) on Friday, September 19, calling for her removal from Congress after she dismissed tributes to slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk as attempts to “rewrite history
Speaking at an event earlier this week, Omar described Kirk as a “hateful man” and bluntly told his supporters, “you’re full of s**t.”
The remarks quickly drew outrage from Republicans and Kirk’s allies, who accused Omar of glorifying his killing and disrespecting his legacy.

In a previous interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan on his Zeteo platform, Omar had similarly condemned GOP leaders’ responses to the assassination, again saying they were “full of s**t.”
During that conversation, she accused Rep Nancy Mace (R‑SC) of harassing political opponents and said Trump had “incited violence against people like me.” Still, she acknowledged the brutality of Kirk’s death, describing the footage as “mortifying” and adding, “You know, all I could think about was his wife, his children, that image is going to live forever.”
Trump calls for Ilhan Omar’s expulsion
Trump seized on Omar’s remarks to renew calls for her expulsion from Congress. Speaking to reporters while aboard Air Force One, he said he supported stripping her of committee assignments.
“She’s from SOMALIA! These people come from a place with NOTHING, and then they tell us how to run our country.”
