Jon Bon Jovi Becomes a Grandfather Once More as Son Jesse and His Wife Celebrate the Birth of Their First Child

The 63-year-old rock legend’s son Jesse Bon­giovi and his wife Jesse Light have wel­comed their first child togeth­er, a beau­ti­ful baby girl named Blair Lucy.

The cou­ple shared the joy­ful news on Insta­gram on Mon­day, Nov. 10, post­ing a heart­warm­ing pho­to of their new­born gen­tly hold­ing onto a fin­ger while wear­ing a cozy pink, blue, and white striped beanie.

Friends and fans flood­ed the com­ments with con­grat­u­la­tions, cel­e­brat­ing the newest addi­tion to the Bon Jovi fam­i­ly.

“Blair Lucy Bon­giovi. Our sweet girl has arrived, and we couldn’t be hap­pi­er. Wel­come to the world, baby Blair bear,” Jesse and his wife wrote in the cap­tion of their joint post.

Jesse and his wife Jesse tied the knot on May 7, 2024 in Las Vegas. The cou­ple’s cer­e­mo­ny hap­pened at the same chapel where Jesse’s par­ents, Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bon­giovi eloped in 1989.

The two first con­nect­ed in 2018 at the deck of Surf Lodge in Mon­tauk, N.Y. — which is also where Bon­giovi popped the ques­tion two years ago.

Bon Jovi recent­ly shared that he was going to be a two-time grand­fa­ther on BBC’s The One Show.

“It’s a new chap­ter in life, you know,” he shared. “I mean this, this next gen­er­a­tion comes along and sud­den­ly I have a grand­daugh­ter, anoth­er one com­ing next week.”

He also shared his best piece of father­ly advice, sim­ply say­ing, “Let them be them.”

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer recent­ly became a first-time grand­pa when he and his wife Dorothea’s son Jake Bon­giovi and daugh­ter-in-law Mil­lie Bob­by Brown announced on Aug. 21 that they are par­ents.

The Stranger Things actress, 21, and her hus­band, 23, con­firmed in a post on Insta­gram that they had wel­comed a baby girl via adop­tion, and they were excit­ed for the new adven­tures on the hori­zon.

“This sum­mer we wel­comed our sweet baby girl through adop­tion. We are beyond excit­ed to embark on this beau­ti­ful next chap­ter of par­ent­hood in both peace and pri­va­cy,” they wrote in a joint post. They con­clud­ed, “And then there were 3.”

In addi­tion to sons Jesse and Jake, Bon Jovi and Dorothea share their daugh­ter Stephanie, 32, and son Romeo, 21.

After wel­com­ing his first grand­child, Bon Jovi shared the grand­pa name he’s plan­ning to go by, and it has a sweet con­nec­tion to his daugh­ter-in-law’s tele­vi­sion show. The rock­star spoke with Savan­nah Guthrie for a new inter­view with Today, say­ing he imme­di­ate­ly fell in love with the lit­tle one.

“Imme­di­ate­ly you fall in love,” said Bon Jovi. “You know, when we met Jake and Mil­lie’s daugh­ter, it was just imme­di­ate. You’re like, ‘That’s my grand­daugh­ter.’ ”

“She won’t be able to walk for at least 10 or 12 years because Papa will be car­ry­ing her every­where she goes,” he con­tin­ued, shar­ing that he plans to go by “Papa” to his grand­daugh­ter.

The “You Give Love a Bad Name” singer’s pre­ferred grand­pa name coin­ci­den­tal­ly is the same name of a char­ac­ter on Brown’s TV show Stranger Things. “Papa” is the name of the man who watch­es over Brown’s char­ac­ter Eleven when she’s impris­oned in the lab.
