Brad Pitt reveals bald spot as he greets fans while spending Father’s Day away from estranged children

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Hol­ly­wood star Brad Pitt debuted his sur­pris­ing new look this Father’s Day, reveal­ing an appar­ent bald spot while greet­ing fans in New York City on Sun­day, June 15. 

The bald spot was vis­i­ble when the 61-year-old actor, known for his sig­na­ture charm and lead­ing-man looks, was spot­ted sign­ing auto­graphs in the Big Apple, thou­sands of miles away from Los Ange­les, where most of his six chil­dren with his ex-wife Angeli­na Jolie reside.

The sight­ing came amid ongo­ing reports of estrange­ment between Pitt and sev­er­al of his chil­dren.

Brad Pitt is cur­rent­ly in full pro­mo­tion­al mode as he is trav­el­ing the globe to sup­port his upcom­ing ‘For­mu­la 1’ film. The actor was in New York City, where his whirl­wind press tour brought him just in time for Father’s Day. 

While the 61-year-old actor didn’t spend the day with his chil­dren, he was spot­ted enjoy­ing a cozy date night with girl­friend Ines de Ramon on Sat­ur­day, June 14, the evening before Father’s Day.

The cou­ple appeared relaxed and con­nect­ed, tak­ing time out for each oth­er amid Pitt’s busy sched­ule, the Dai­ly­Mail report­ed.

Brad Pitt and his ex-wife Angeli­na Jolie share six children—Maddox,23, Pax,21, Zahara,20, Shiloh, 19, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivi­enne. The for­mer cou­ple mar­ried in 2014 after famous­ly falling in love while film­ing ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’.

How­ev­er, their rela­tion­ship unrav­eled in 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce short­ly after a high­ly pub­li­cized pri­vate plane inci­dent, dur­ing which she accused Pitt of abu­sive behav­ior toward her and the chil­dren.

Although their divorce was final­ized in Decem­ber, the emo­tion­al after­math con­tin­ues. Reports sug­gest Pitt remains estranged from sev­er­al of his chil­dren, a painful con­se­quence of the long and con­tentious split.

As a result of their cus­tody arrange­ment, Jolie revealed in a recent Hol­ly­wood Reporter inter­view that she must remain in Los Ange­les until their youngest chil­dren reach adult­hood.

I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave,” Jolie said, reflect­ing on her fam­i­ly’s future. “When you have a big fam­i­ly, you want them to have pri­va­cy, peace, safe­ty. I have a house now to raise my chil­dren, but some­times this place can be … that human­i­ty that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here. Brad Pitt stresses on importance of love despite estranged relationship with children

Despite his strained rela­tion­ships with some of his chil­dren, a source revealed that Brad Pitt still main­tains vis­i­ta­tion rights with his younger chil­dren. How­ev­er, the actor’s involve­ment has report­ed­ly been lim­it­ed due to his demand­ing film­ing sched­ule for the upcom­ing ‘For­mu­la 1’ movie.

While a few of his chil­dren have gone so far as to drop “Pitt” from their last names, the insid­er empha­sized that Brad remains emo­tion­al­ly avail­able, always leav­ing the door open for rec­on­cil­i­a­tion. 

“He respects Shiloh’s deci­sion,” the source said, ref­er­enc­ing his daughter’s recent legal name change. “He loves her, and no mat­ter what hap­pens, he is always only a phone call away. He will be there for Shiloh and any of his kids when­ev­er they need, no ques­tions asked. But it’s up to them to make the next move.”

Amid the ongo­ing fam­i­ly divide, Pitt addressed the impor­tance of love and con­nec­tion dur­ing an appear­ance at the ‘F1’ pre­miere in Mex­i­co City. Speak­ing to Enter­tain­ment Tonight on June 11, the Oscar win­ner reflect­ed, “No mat­ter the mis­take, you just learn from [it] and move on. It’ll lead to the next suc­cess.”

He con­tin­ued, “When you get to my age, you real­ize how impor­tant it is to sur­round your­self with the peo­ple you love, the peo­ple that love you back. Friends, fam­i­ly, and that’s it. From there, we get to go make things. It’s a pret­ty sim­ple, I think, equa­tion.”

Pitt also recent­ly spoke more can­did­ly about his long and con­tentious split from Angeli­na Jolie in GQ’s June 2025 issue, down­play­ing the legal final­iza­tion of their divorce: “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just some­thing com­ing to fruition. Legal­ly.”
