Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Residency, Assures Fans She’s Not Retiring
Dolly Parton has always had a special way of speaking straight to the hearts of her fans—and her latest message is no different.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” the statement read.
“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.”
“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” the statement continued.
The country music icon announced that she’s postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency, but she wants everyone to know this isn’t the end of her journey on stage. In her own words:
“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”
It’s a classic Dolly moment—honest, heartfelt, and full of love. Instead of retiring, she’s simply taking a step back to rest and prepare for what’s next. And if we know anything about Dolly, the next chapter will be just as big, bold, and beautiful as the ones before it.
Fans might be a little disappointed about the delay, but Dolly’s words remind us that she’s in this for the long haul. She’s not saying goodbye—she’s just giving herself the time she needs to come back stronger and ready to create even more unforgettable memories with the people who love her most.

So, while the Las Vegas lights will have to wait, Dolly Parton’s light is still shining bright. And when she returns, you can bet she’ll be ready to give her fans the magic they’ve come to cherish for decades.
