Albania’s Crown Prince Leka Announces Engagement Six Months After Divorce

Love is in the air once again for Crown Prince Leka of Alba­nia. Just six months after final­iz­ing his divorce from his first wife, Crown Princess Elia, the 43-year-old roy­al has announced his engage­ment to Bler­ta Celibashi.

On Octo­ber 12, Crown Prince Leka took to his offi­cial Insta­gram account to share the hap­py news, post­ing a joint state­ment with his fiancée. The announce­ment, trans­lat­ed from Alban­ian, read:

“The Roy­al Fam­i­ly is pleased to announce the engage­ment of His Majesty, Crown Prince Leka II of Alba­ni­ans, with Miss Bler­ta Celibashi. The engage­ment was joy­ful­ly cel­e­brat­ed on Octo­ber 11, 2025, in Ksamil, in the south of Alba­nia, in the pres­ence of fam­i­ly and close friends.”

The roy­al fam­i­ly also extend­ed their grat­i­tude “to all those who have sent their good wish­es on this joy­ous occa­sion.”

A Glamorous Engagement Reveal

Bler­ta, a pro­fes­sion­al pho­tog­ra­ph­er, shared an inti­mate behind-the-scenes look at the engage­ment pho­to shoot on her Insta­gram the fol­low­ing day. In a soft, roman­tic reel set to the song “So This Is Love” by Sne­ha fea­tur­ing Con­Te­jas, Bler­ta is seen get­ting her hair and make­up done — even apply­ing her own mas­cara — before daz­zling in a cham­pagne gown and state­ment ear­rings.

The clip tran­si­tions to her pos­ing grace­ful­ly with Crown Prince Leka and his daugh­ter, four-year-old Princess Geral­dine, whom he shares with his for­mer wife, Elia. The warm, can­did moments offered roy­al watch­ers a per­son­al glimpse into the couple’s mile­stone day.

A Second Chance at Love

Crown Prince Leka and Bler­ta made their rela­tion­ship pub­lic in Sep­tem­ber 2024, fol­low­ing the prince’s split from Elia. The for­mer cou­ple had been mar­ried for eight years before announc­ing their sep­a­ra­tion in April 2024. Their divorce was final­ized ear­li­er this year.
