Melania Trump Honored as ‘Patriot of the Year’ by Fox Nation

For­mer First Lady Mela­nia Trump, 55, has been hon­ored with the “Patri­ot of the Year” award by Fox Nation, the stream­ing plat­form of Fox News, in recog­ni­tion of her ded­i­ca­tion to Amer­i­can val­ues and her con­tin­ued advo­ca­cy for chil­dren around the world.

The award cer­e­mo­ny took place on Novem­ber 6 at the Green­bri­ar Tilles Per­form­ing Arts Cen­ter in New York, where Fox Nation cel­e­brat­ed indi­vid­u­als who have demon­strat­ed excep­tion­al com­mit­ment to the prin­ci­ples that make Amer­i­ca great.

In announc­ing the award, Fox Nation stat­ed that it hon­ors “heroes and patri­ots who demon­strate unwa­ver­ing ded­i­ca­tion to the val­ues that make Amer­i­ca great.” The net­work praised Mrs. Trump for her “inter­na­tion­al efforts advo­cat­ing for children’s rights” and her con­sis­tent pro­mo­tion of cre­ativ­i­ty and inno­va­tion as pil­lars of Amer­i­can strength.

Dur­ing her accep­tance speech, Mrs. Trump deliv­ered a heart­felt mes­sage about the pow­er of cre­ativ­i­ty and courage in shap­ing the nation’s future.

“We must praise all those who think cre­ative­ly,” she said. “Because these brave Amer­i­cans are the heart­beat of our civ­i­liza­tion.”

She went on to empha­size that inno­va­tion and patri­o­tism go hand in hand:

“Inno­va­tion nev­er occurs by acci­dent; it is already embed­ded in the DNA of us Amer­i­cans,” Mrs. Trump declared. “Inno­va­tion is a form of patri­o­tism.”

Born in 1970 in Slove­nia, Mela­nia Trump began her career as a mod­el before mov­ing to the Unit­ed States in 1995. She met Don­ald Trump short­ly after and mar­ried him in 2005. The fol­low­ing year, she became a nat­u­ral­ized U.S. cit­i­zen, proud­ly call­ing Amer­i­ca her per­ma­nent home.

As First Lady, Mrs. Trump focused much of her time on ini­tia­tives sup­port­ing children’s well-being, kind­ness, and online safe­ty — efforts that have con­tin­ued beyond her time in the White House.

This recog­ni­tion fol­lows last year’s cer­e­mo­ny, where Pres­i­dent Don­ald J. Trump received the same “Patri­ot of the Year” hon­or.
