LASVEGAS, NEVADA: Back­street Boys singer Nick Carter sur­prised fans with a notice­ably slim­mer appear­ance in a new social media post this week.

The 45-year-old pop star shared a self­ie from Las Vegas that quick­ly sparked spec­u­la­tion about how he may have lost weight.

Carter’s fol­low­ers were quick to com­ment on the change, with some won­der­ing if the singer might be tak­ing Ozem­pic.

“Soak­ing up some Vegas heat before today’s rehearsals,” Carter cap­tioned the bright out­door shot.

The post, shared to his social media fol­low­ers, showed Carter appear­ing much thin­ner than usu­al, prompt­ing strong reac­tions online.

Although he hasn’t post­ed any gym-relat­ed con­tent since March 2024, Carter has pre­vi­ous­ly said he stays fit through danc­ing, play­ing base­ball, and golf­ing.

The eight-time Gram­my nom­i­nee, who once weighed 240 pounds, has pre­vi­ous­ly been can­did about his fit­ness efforts.

Carter’s weight jour­ney has been part of his pub­lic life for years. In 2021, he post­ed, “Just got­ta get rid of this bel­ly that I’ve had since I was a teenag­er.”

A year lat­er, in 2022, he shared that he was “20 pounds down [with] 10 more to go” in an effort to shed his “dad bod.”

He added, “I’m nowhere near where I would like to be. But I’m clos­er to my goal to being back in shape before our upcom­ing res­i­den­cy in Vegas.”

On the per­son­al front, Carter shares three chil­dren — Odin, 9; Saoirse, 5; and Pearl, 4 — with his wife of 11 years, Lau­ren Kitt Carter, the founder of Cryp­to Cafe.

The self­ie led to a flood of con­cerned com­ments from fans, many express­ing wor­ry over his notice­ably thin­ner build.

One fol­low­er wrote in Insta­gram com­ments, “Sor­ry to say, but you look a bit too thin to me!🥺…I hope you’re okay, @nickcarter!🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻..Love you so much!”

Anoth­er added, “He looks very unhealthy, hope he is okay!” while some­one else urged, “You’re too thin! You have to eat a lit­tle more! To stay look­ing so hand­some!!!!”

One user spec­u­lat­ed, “Maybe he took some ozem­pic 😢” as oth­ers expressed heart­felt con­cern.

“Hey Nick, you look great as always, but please don’t over­do it with your fit­ness or what­ev­er you do to look like that..We still need you, okay?😊❤️,” said anoth­er.

Some also sug­gest­ed he con­sid­er a change: “Gain some weight.”
