Paris Hilton Breaks Silence on Claims Ghislaine Maxwell Tried to Recruit Her for Jeffrey Epstein

Paris Hilton has addressed explosive allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell once considered her a potential recruit for Jeffrey Epstein, breaking her silence on claims that have followed her for years. The heiress and entrepreneur responded in a new interview with The Sunday Times, directly acknowledging the story that first surfaced in Lifetime’s 2020 documentary Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.

The allegation came from British journalist Christopher Mason, a former acquaintance of Maxwell’s, who recounted an incident from around the year 2000. In the documentary, Mason said that Maxwell had spotted Hilton at a New York party when the future media star was just 19, allegedly telling a friend of his, “Oh my God, who’s that? She’d be perfect for Jeffrey.” Mason added that Maxwell appeared eager to be introduced to her.

Hilton, now 44, says she has no memory of any such meeting.
Speaking to The Sunday Times Magazine, the socialite responded bluntly:
“I don’t even remember ever meeting her.”

Hilton also suggested that her name is being used to generate attention.
In an interview referenced by People magazine, she added:
“I’m such a good clickbait name.”

Despite resurfaced photographs from 2000 — including images from the Anand Jon Fashion Show in New York in which Hilton is seen standing near Donald Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell — Hilton maintains she has no recollection of any direct interaction.

The claims have gained renewed attention as more documents tied to Epstein’s network continue to emerge and public curiosity surrounding the convicted sex offender’s social circle remains high. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence after being convicted in 2021 on sex-trafficking and conspiracy charges.

Hilton, who has been vocal in recent years about her own experiences with abuse at youth facilities, has not positioned herself as a victim in this context. Instead, her response underscores a desire to distance herself from the Epstein narrative entirely.

She did not issue a categorical denial of the event described by Mason — only that she does not remember meeting Maxwell and rejects the idea that she was ever involved with Epstein’s circle.

Coverage by Entertainment Weekly and The Daily Beast notes that Hilton’s reaction marks the first time she has spoken publicly about the allegation since it appeared in the 2020 Lifetime docuseries.

As more Epstein-related filings are unsealed and new names continue to surface, Hilton’s brief but pointed response highlights a tension familiar to many public figures whose past social settings intersected with powerful individuals now revealed to have lived double lives. For Hilton, the story appears to be one she wants firmly left in the past — and one she insists has been exaggerated because of her global name recognition.
