Reba McEntire would say ‘yes’ if Rex Linn popped the question despite not having ‘much faith’ in marriage

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reba McEn­tire has found hap­pi­ness at 70, both per­son­al­ly and pro­fes­sion­al­ly.

The coun­try leg­end, who cel­e­brat­ed her mile­stone birth­day with fans and loved ones dur­ing a con­cert in Con­necti­cut on March 28, is also ready to say “I do” to her long­time part­ner, Rex Linn, if he pops the ques­tion, accord­ing to a close friend, as per OK! Mag­a­zine.

About Reba McEn­tire and Rex Linn’s rela­tion­ship, the close friend shared, “Reba knows a good man is hard to find and no one is per­fect, but she says Rex gets her like no oth­er man ever has.”

They described Linn as “fun­ny, loy­al, down-to-earth, a real gen­tle­man, and best of all, he isn’t about the dra­ma. All the traits Reba has ever want­ed in a part­ner.”

The source fur­ther said that the “Queen of Coun­try” would be ready to take the next step if Linn pro­posed. “If Rex got down on one knee, she’d say yes,” they not­ed.

Reba McEntire calls Rex Linn ‘the love of my life’ 

Reba McEn­tire recent­ly opened up about her rela­tion­ship with actor Rex Linn, cred­it­ing him for the joy she feels today.

“I think I am the hap­pi­est I’ve ever been,” the coun­try star told Extra in May. “He’s the love of my life and we have so much fun togeth­er,” she added.

“He sup­ports me, I sup­port him. We real­ly love work­ing togeth­er, hang­ing out togeth­er, what­ev­er we do togeth­er, we have fun,” McEn­tire said.

The cou­ple first crossed paths on the set of ‘The Gam­bler Returns: The Luck of the Draw’ in 1991, but they didn’t spark romance until much lat­er, while work­ing on ‘Young Shel­don’.

They marked their fifth anniver­sary in Jan­u­ary. “Cel­e­brat­ing five years of tater tots this week!” McEn­tire shared in an Insta­gram post, ref­er­enc­ing their play­ful nick­names — Linn calls her “Tater Tot,” and she refers to him as “Sug­ar Tot.”

Though Reba McEn­tire is open to the idea of mar­riage with Rex Linn, she’s also con­tent with­out it.

Speak­ing to E! News last year, she reflect­ed on her past expe­ri­ences with mar­riage.

“I’ve been mar­ried twice. After the sec­ond one dis­solved, I don’t have much faith in being bound by a piece of paper or a ring,” McEn­tire said.

Still, she left the door open for Linn’s wish­es, adding, “I’m tru­ly com­mit­ted to Rex, so if that’s some­thing he feels total­ly strong about, that’s fine with me. He’s nev­er been mar­ried before, so if he wants to expe­ri­ence that, I’m OK with that.”
