Travis Kelce Admits He’s “Terrified” for His Dad to Hear Taylor Swift’s Risqué New Song

Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl has fans buzzing — especially over track nine, “Wood”, a sultry ode to her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce. While Travis has proudly supported the album, he recently confessed on his New Heights podcast that there’s one listener he’s dreading: his dad, Ed Kelce.

In the episode, Travis and his brother Jason Kelce joked about recording their father’s reaction to the explicit lyrics, which include flirty metaphors like “redwood tree” and “hard rock.” Jason teased that the track might be a little too personal, leaving Travis laughing — but also clearly nervous.

Even Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, apparently interpreted the song more innocently, believing it to be about “superstitions,” something Taylor herself called “the joy of the double entendre.”

With Swift’s new album climbing charts and headlines buzzing, one thing’s for sure — fans can’t wait to see if “Big Ed” ever gives his review of “Wood.” 🌲😉
