Karoline Leavitt, 28, is accused of ‘airbrushing’ husband, 60, in glamor White House snaps
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is facing scrutiny after social media users claimed she airbrushed her husband’s face in an Instagram post.
The communications chief, 28, shared glossy Halloween photos of her and husband Nicholas Riccio, 60, posing up with their 16-month-old son, Niko, on Sunday.

Niko sported an adorable pumpkin outfit for the occasion, however all eyes were on his father’s suspiciously smooth complexion.
Suspicions were raised further after images taken by press photographers at the White House appeared to show Riccio looking less radiant.
Leavitt’s page was soon flooded with comments accusing her of enhancing her husband’s appearance.
‘The airbrushing of your hubs face to make him appear younger was the trick,’ one commenter wrote.
‘Karoline, awesome picture but my friends noticed something: The guy on the left seems to have only his face photoshopped. His hands look like 60+ years old,’ another user added.

Leavitt, who has more than 2.6million followers has not responded publicly to the criticism or addressed whether any of the photos had been edited before being posted.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt brought family warmth to this year’s Halloween festivities on the South Lawn — joined by her husband Nicholas Riccio and their baby son, Niko, for the seasonal celebration hosted by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
Leavitt, 27, was photographed carrying baby Niko in front of a pumpkin-lined staircase, surrounded by glowing jack‑o’-lanterns and cascading faux autumn leaves. The family moment quickly went viral after Leavitt shared photos on social media, drawing over 235,000 likes by Monday evening — with fans flooding the comments section to praise both her family and Riccio’s strikingly smooth complexion.
A Love Story Rooted in New Hampshire
Leavitt’s personal life has increasingly captured public attention since she became White House press secretary earlier this year. Known for her openness, she’s previously shared details about her relationship with Riccio, a New Hampshire real-estate developer, calling it “a very atypical love story.”
Appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show in March, Leavitt explained how the couple first met:
“A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,” Leavitt recalled. “I was speaking. We met and were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.”
The couple welcomed their son, Niko, in July 2024, before marrying six months later.
“He’s my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and my rock,” she said. “He’s built a very successful business himself, so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.”
Leavitt added with a laugh:
“I say, ‘I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since,’ but God bless him because he’s fully on board.”
The Trumps Bring the Treats — and the Nostalgia
The festive evening also marked a nostalgic moment for the Trumps, who reprised one of the president’s signature Halloween traditions from 2019 — bopping a costumed child on the head with a chocolate bar before balancing it on top of their costume. The lighthearted moment drew laughter from guests as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” played, performed by a military string ensemble.
Dozens of carved pumpkins and glowing lanterns adorned the South Lawn, along with garlands of fall foliage and faux leaves cascading down the staircases. Melania Trump complemented the autumnal scene in a beige-and-orange trench coat, while the president handed out candy to children dressed as astronauts, princesses, and even McDonald’s workers.
Trump, fresh from a five-day overseas trip to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, spent over an hour handing out treats — pausing frequently to chat with families and pose for photos.
A Family Moment in the Spotlight

While the evening celebrated the lighthearted side of Washington life, it also showcased the young press secretary’s growing popularity and relatability. Leavitt’s mix of professional polish and family authenticity has resonated with many Americans — making her Halloween appearance not just a viral post, but a reminder that even in the halls of power, family moments still shine brightest.
